Overview:
Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineer AI Platform
We are looking for a server-side senior software engineer to join our data engineering development group. As a member of this team, you’ll collaborate with other software teams extending our suite of central data services (e.g. trades, positions, p&l, reference data, etc.). In addition, you will be responsible for implementing our AI platform on which we plan to build various AI related solutions. With your strong development skills and commitment to high quality software, you’ll be instrumental in evolving our data services and AI platform to scale and adapt to the rapidly evolving needs of our business partners.
Responsibilities:
- Guide the design and development of our centralized data services
- Gather requirements for new enhancements, designing, developing, testing and deploying.
- Write clean, performant, understandable code.
- Collaborate with team members via design/code reviews to ensure best practices and knowledge sharing.
- Determine root cause for the most complex software issues and develop practical, efficient, and permanent technical solutions.
- Remain current on new technologies and available vendor packages; evaluate and make recommendations as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience and proficiency with Python language
- Bachelors or Master’s degree in computer science or related engineering field preferred
- Minimum 5 years of programming experience with progressive responsibilities
- Experience building or working with distributed systems
- Financial knowledge
